Korea is another country celebrating Spring Fesitval, or Chinese New Year. It is not surprise that they observe the same tradition give that the two countries have been neighbors for thousands of years. One thing Korean need to do at the Chinese New Year is also have a family reunion. It is expected that 30 million out of 48 million Korean will go back to the hometown and visit their parents or relatives. Of course, how to send them quickly and safely is also a headache for the transportation department. Following are two photos of bus and train stations in Seoul before the Chinese New Year.

I also read some articles talking the same thing for Vietnam at the same time. However, I couldn’t find a photo. Singapore is the fourth country with Chinese New Year as an official holiday, but it is too small to see a nation wide migration of their people. Meanwhile, since Japan has westernized their calendar, Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is no longer celebrated. Some transportation means will still be packed at the time, but they will be subway and highway and at short distances.
